Little River Blueway Trail Updates
LITTLE RIVER BLUEWAY TRAIL UPDATES:
Posted March 7, 2011:
»
Help keep biking and hiking trails single track... Please don't ride when wet.
»
Due to low flow rates, the Calhoun Mill, Mars Bridge, and Morrah Bridge put-ins on the Little River and the Bradley Bridge and Patterson Bridge put-ins on Long Cane Creek are not recommended at this time.
»
Excellent paddling trips on the norther sections can still be enjoyed by using the Little River Quary Bridge put-in on Little River and the Hwy 28 Bridge Boat Ramp on Long Cane Creek and paddling north into the creeks before pddling back to orignal put-ins.
Wildlife is prevelant in these sections and all shoreline is buffered by the national forest. Watch weather forecasts for wind advisories this time of year, always wear life jackets, and never paddle alone. cell phone coverage is not gauranteed so plan accordlingly. Get outside and enjoy!
