Explore the Blueway's 50 Mile Scenic Drive

A slightly more leisurely, but equally exciting way to explore the Little River Blueway area is an open window drive through the country-side and Sumter National Forest.  The 50 mile scenic drive loop has multiple access points, and many other back roads that offer additional exploration of the land and wildlife.
Click here to download the Blueway Project Map, which highlights the scenic drive.  However, we highly recommend purchasing a print version of the map before beginning your driving expedition.

Roads along the scenic drive include the Heritage Corridor and Scenic Savannah River Highways, country roads, and unpaved forest service roads...  Even a few single lane steel covered bridges along way!

The Scenic Drive also takes visitors by several historical sites, including the Long Cane Massacre Site, Badwell Cemetery, Heguenot Worship Site, and the Willington History Center to name a few.
